My Battle with...

Jeggings

When I first saw "jeggings", I personally was morally opposed to them. I thought that they were among the most hideous things I had ever seen. But as jeggings are getting more popular, they are starting to get made with better designs and materials. There are several designers  and upscale companies that have come up with some very cute style for these pants that were once crimes against humanity. I now have two pairs of jeggings and realized that they are actually quite magical...once you find the right pair. Since I dance and run, I have the calves of a Slavic strongman so finding skinny jeans that fit in the calves and are tight around is a basically impossible task. But this is no more thanks to jeggings. And as an added bonus, they aren't to baggy around the waist nor do they gap at the back.

So I have compiled a group of jeggins that I don't find completely unattractive.
Levi's Jeans, Red Tab 535 Skinny Legging, Black Wash $24.99, Macy's; Joe's Jeans, The Legging 25" cropped inseam zip legging $98.00, joesjeans.com; Denimocracy, Black Acid Moto Skinny $85.00, denimocracyusa.com; American Eagle, Jegging Dark Indigo Wash, $39.50, ae.com; Abercrombie & Fitch, The AF Jegging in Rinse, $58, abercrombie.com;

And Now...

Miu Miu's 2010 Fall and Winter Women's Wear Line

Miu Miu's spring and summer line was well received among fashionistas around the world. Fun patterns reminiscent of art deco cartoons filled the clothes and accessories. The fall and winter line, however, displayed no colorful patterns that we've grown so used to from Miu Miu. This contrast was refreshing though. Strong, bold cuts and clean lines are the staple of their winter line. Wool coats and high necklines filled the runway, and large bead embellishment. And yes, patent leather.
